Kids Craft: Salt Dough Ornaments

We made some salt dough ornaments for decorating the tree. Pretty standard salt dough - much like for the salt dough creatures we do on and off for fun.

This time we didn't sculpt 3D figurines, just used cookie cutters to get some standard shapes and painted them.

We did remember to poke a hole with a chopstick before baking the shapes so that we can thread a string and hang up the ornaments.

Painting them was the most fun for the 7 yo - I had some acrylic paints in limited palette and it worked out all right.
