Kids Crafts: Easy Greeting Cards

kids crafts christmas cards

These Holidays/Christmas greeting cards that Ana made for her friends can be adapted for any occasion. It involves a tiny bit of preparation, but after that it settles into assembly-line precision.

The idea is not original or complicated. In fact it is the simplicity of it that I like. As always, I am inspired by many things I come across and try to adapt it to the situation at hand. Some old greeting cards, some wrapping paper, some printed words and glue is all that is needed. Glitter is optional.

I wanted to let Ana create each card entirely on her own, including writing the name of the recipient and signing her name.

To facilitate the work, I cut up little pictures of trees, bells, ornaments, snowman, candy cane etc. from old greeting cards and wrapping papers, plus printed out generic greetings like "Happy Holidays!" and "Joys of the Season!" and such and cut them out as well, and arranged them in separate little containers on a tray along with some glue, blank cards, and pen.

She simply had to pick out pieces from each little container and glue them however her heart fancies et voilà: A set of unique cards are ready.

It was interesting to observe that she picked out the person for whom she was preparing the card and then proceeded to assemble the pictures she thought they'd like in the card...
